Software Product Download Instructions
Wherever X appears, replace it with product being downloaded:
such as XREFDBI.
- On the iSeries:
- Must be at release V5R1 or later.
Note your current release for step 2.a.
DSPDTAARA QSS1MRI
- Record your internet IP address for step 3.d.
WRKTCPSTS *IFC
- Create SAVF for each product downloaded.
CRTSAVF X TEXT(DBiTools)
- From this download page:
- Right click appropriate download link.
o AssertDBi requires SQLDBi and WRKRCDi.
o WRKRCDi requires SQLDBi.
o SQLJOBi requires SQLDBi.
- Select Save Target As... or Save Link As... and Save As window pops up.
- Click Save which downloads to your desktop or selected folder.
- Click here--> Request license key(s)
and submit the completed form.
- On your PC:
- Click Start button then click Run icon.
- Type cmd in Run window and click Ok button.
- Type dir in DOS window.
- If you see your downloaded file (X.savf), skip to step 3.d.
- Find directory that you downloaded into by repeating steps 2.a. and 2.b.
- Move downloaded file(s) to current directory shown in step 3.c.
- Or change to directory containing file(s) downloaded in step 2.c.
- Type ftp 111.111.111.111 replacing 1s with internal IP address
from step 1.b.
- Type iSeries User ID when prompted and type Password when prompted.
- At FTP> bin (Binary mode is required for SAVFs.)
- At FTP> put X.savf (Replace underlined name with product name.)
- Status message: Sending file to member X in file XREFDBI in library QGPL.
- Completion message: 7044348 bytes sent in 123.92Seconds 56.85Kbytes/sec.
- On the iSeries - Run these commands, replace X with product name:
- RSTOBJ OBJ(INSTALLDB*) SAVLIB(X) DEV(*SAVF)
SAVF(X) RSTLIB(QTEMP)
How to handle error: File X in QGPL is not a save file
- Run command DLTF X
- Run command CRTSAVF X TEXT(DBiTools)
- Rerun steps starting from 3.g.

Notes
- Replace aaaa-aaaa-aaaa-aaaa with your license key
- Programs INSTALLDB* are shipped with debugging templates so you can review
the program content. INSTALLDBI and INSTALLDBV are always shipped and a third
program may be shipped.
- You must have sufficient authority to restore objects
- Libraries (work library) may be created.
- By default, objects are owned by QPGMR with *PUBLIC(*USE) authority.
